It has been a long journey to finally get to this point. Kirk was one of the the first contestants chosen to compete in the 2010 debut of the Australian Masterchef reality TV show - and had always wanted to bring his love of authentically prepared international cuisine to the people. After narrowly missing out on making the top 20 and several weeks in Sydney he returned to his original passion - the ocean, where he worked as a marine scientist & consultant specialising in field research and marine operations. Kirk was also a commercial diver, specialist SCUBA and 1st aid instructor and commercial boat skipper.
